Youth Development Program: L DOT is designed for middle and high school students to learn basic logistics trucking and dispatch training. The program aims to give students the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the logistics industry.
The sessions are held once a week, Monday through Saturday, at different times and locations. (Location, day, and time will be announced closer to the start date)
Target Audience:
The program is open to all Dallas County middle and high school students. Recruit participants from Dallas County schools, churches, libraries, community centers, and other youth groups. Partnerships with local businesses, schools, churches, and other youth organizations to serve as venues, partners, or both.
Program Structure:
- The program is offered at different locations at various times on various days, depending on the availability of the venue.
- The session consists of lectures, interactive activities, and comprehension assessments.
- The program will offer real-world life scenarios to allow the participants to apply skills and knowledge acquired in training.
Max class size: 15
Students will receive a certificate of completion.
