Interested in a career in STEM? The CITI Tech Camp is for you!
The Citi Tech Camp is an opportunity for rising eighth grade girls to come together to learn more about STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers and industries. Girls will work together in small groups on projects and work alongside working STEM professionals.
Each camp run for five days from 10am through 1pm and will take place in a secure remote learning environment. In order to maximize the experience, the camp is limited to 15 participants per camp.
In addition to the outstanding programming, participants will receive a $100 stipend for completing the camp.

What is Citi Tech Camp?

How much does this camp cost?
The camp is free to students.
Why is the camp being offered in a virtual format?
The safety of youth and our staff is paramount. To reduce the risk of exposure while still providing fun and engaging learning activities, the Citi Tech Camp will be operating in a virtual format in Summer 2020.
How do I access the weekly remote live sessions?
After you register, you will receive confirmation information from Big Thought that will include log in information for a secure website just for Citi Tech Camp participants.
Will technology kits and tools be available?
Big Thought is assessing the need for technology kits for Citi Tech Camp participants. If you need a technology kit to be able to participate, please contact Chris Battle at [email protected].
Who can register for Citi Tech Camp?
Citi Tech Camp is open for girls who will be eighth graders in the 2020-2021 school year.
When is this camp offered during the summer?
Citi Tech Camp is offered during the week of July 13-17 and again on the week of July 20-24. Girls should enroll in one or the other, but not both.
At what times during the day will this camp be offered?
Citi Tech Camp will run daily during each session of the camp (July 14-17 and July 20-24) from 10am through 1pm. A 30 minute personal break will be included during that timeframe.
Will students get to interact with one another?
Yes! During Citi Tech Camp, girls will get to interact with one another via secure online interactive video sessions. Girls will be placed into small groups for conversations and projects. On Friday, the girls will present their team projects to one another.
Will students get to interact with professional women who work in STEM?
Yes! Citi Tech Camp participants will get to interact with professional women working in STEM via secure online interactive video sessions. Girls will learn more about STEM careers and industries, and the education they might need if they are interested in those careers.
How much is the stipend for participation?
Participants who complete the camp and all of its projects will receive a $100 stipend.
