Book covers often give us a clue about what the book is going to be about. Fahrenheit 451 has had many book covers during its lifetime. After reading the book, you should have a general idea of the themes of Fahrenheit 451. In this activity, you will design your own original book cover for Fahrenheit 451.

Recommended supplies: paper, pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons
- Research various Fahrenheit 451 book covers on Google or another search engine.
- Think about a quote, excerpt, character, vocabulary, or theme that captures Fahrenheit 451 for you. Using your interpretations of the novel and your creative thinking, create new cover art for this novel.
- Design back cover art for the novel as well. Be sure to include a summary on the back cover that hints at what the book will be about, but doesn't give everything away.
