Camp Metal Head
Creative Arts Center of Dallas
Camp Metal Head is a summer program offered to under-served and at-risk teens ages 13 to 17, providing both relevant job skills training and quality arts instruction in welding and jewelry. During the six-week program, students learn to use tools, such as oxyacetylene torches, arc welders, pneumatic hammers, jewelry torches, grinders, polishers and sandblasters. Camp Metal Head seeks to engage students in skill-building and meaningful experiences that empower youth.
