The purpose of the hack-a-thon is to help inform and expose youth to design thinking principles, introduce them to the concept of game design utilized to inform about social issues, and engage a diverse population of Dallas youth to the greater opportunity. Youth from around Dallas will be invited to participate in a DT Hack-A-Thon. They will have four hours to ideate, prototype and pitch their response to the Hack-A-Thon prompt. The top four teams will be invited to participate in the greater project. And invited to part 2 – Game Night at Big Thought HQ.
