Upstander Institute: Winter Break

Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum

Join the Museum's Education Team for our virtual Upstander Institute! Students from ages 11-18 will participate in daily activities, book clubs, and peer discussions around the lessons learned from the Holocaust and human rights issues.

December 21 - December 25

This week at Upstander Institute, students will explore survivor testimony and its impact on our understanding of history. Students will interact with survivor testimony through different forms of media, including IWitness by the USC Shoah Foundation. Students will analyze the significance of learning history through the words of those who lived it.


December 27 - January 1

What is your New Year's Resolution? This week, students will consider how they can enter 2021 with a positive mindset and future-focused goals. After learning about historical Upstanders, students can analyze their own qualities, values, and skills to craft the most meaningful New Year’s Resolution.
