Upstander Institute: Inspiring Upstanders
Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum
This week at Upstander Institute, students will learn all about what it means to be an Upstander. They will engage with different at-home and virtual activities to learn about Upstanders in Holocaust history, and how they stood up for themselves or for the rights of others. Then, students will reflect internally to think about what Upstanders look like today- what are some examples of Upstander behavior in their community? How do we honor and value these people? Finally, students will be challenged to think about their own behavior and how they themselves can be Upstanders.
